Yes. In your package you will find an extra elastic cord for the moment when you want to replace the old one. Just cut the old one, take it off, replace it and make two knots that fit the small holes designed for them in the frame.

Both materials we use for the frames, birch plywood and hpl, are resistant to humidity, but in different ways.

The frames made from plywood are finished with a water based varnish that offer extra protection but we do not recommend to keep them in wet environment for too long (it is ok to run in the rain with them on your nose, but don’t do this every day). In the end it is a porous material and it will absorb the humidity. Mind this advice for a better longevity of the product.

The hpl frames are water-resistant so have no fear to dive deep into the ocean with your sunglasses on.

One of the main advantages of OO Eyewear’s design is that they don’t have any joints or moving parts that are easy to be broken. The frames are resistant in both materials, but we do not recommend for them to be exposed to high impact. The most fragile part is the elastic cord, that’s why you have one more piece in your package for backup.

Due to the simple elastic cord system which curves around your head, you are able to adjust the sunglasses for your fit. Tip: adjust them on your size, but not too tight - for a comfortable experience.

OO Eyewear is a brand created by Prototip Studio, a team of architects and designers based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. We produce the sunglasses in-house, in our workshop. We make everything from sketches, design, coding for digital fabrication part and hand finishing.
