When we were kids, parents put keys and sunglasses on strings around our neck, not to lose them while we were playing carefree outdoor. With time we grew up, but we kept wearing our interest/ objects/ statements on our chest, close to the heart.

Our process.
Our process.
We are a team of architects and designers with a passion for product design and we use our knowledge to design honest and innovative products from scratch in our workshop. We have been producing OO Eyewear since 2013, and with time we improved the technical aspects of production and comfort levels.
While we were designing the first pairs of glasses, we were playing with the concept of wearing the accessory not only on the nose, but also hanging on the neck so we found a substitute for the hinge.
Our way of producing sunglasses is careful to waste – we use materials thoughtfully. The process is a mix between digital fabrication an craftsmanship: we sculpt the 3d models on a cnc machine and finish each piece by hand, being in control of the quality for each item. We believe that small scale production offers a nice flexibility.
We are a slow fashion brand and we love to create durable products having a kind rhythm of producing the items, therefore more than 50% of the producing process is made by hand. The advantage of in-house production is that we can improve our design, constantly with each batch consulting our client’s feedback.
OO Eyewear pieces are designed to last and because they don’t have any joints or moving parts they don’t break easily, making their long lifespan part of their sustainability.

For the wooden frames we use birch plywood which is characterized by excellent strength and stiffness and therefore it performs very well in our production processes. Manufactured from a dense timber species, birch plywood is a high quality, multi-ply hardwood panel, offering consistent strength, fine grain texture and ease of finishing. The multiple veneers that make up this plywood increase its structural stability in all directions and by 3d sculpting it it provides an aesthetic graphic.
The sleek looking material we use for the black models is a high pressure laminated compact board made from 70% recycled kraft paper and resins. It is characterized by high impact resistance, water-resistance, antimicrobial quality and its anti-fingerprint front coating keep a clean aspect despite the intensive use.
The light from the sun can be imagined as waves that oscillate in many different directions. When light reflects off of a surface such as water or a shiny road, the reflected light waves tend to oscillate in a single plane. This is called "polarized" light.
Polarized lenses reduce glare by blocking intense reflected light. This makes them useful for activities such as driving, fishing, and skiing. They also can enhance contrast and depth perception, making them popular for outdoor sports and activities.
Solid Brown and Gradient Pink are high quality polarized lenses, hydrophobic and anti-oil, with UV protection and a light transmittance of 11% +/- 1.
